Lightning

The Lightning's single channel is based off a Vox AC30 Top Boost. It has volume, treble, bass, cut and master volume controls. This is an amplifier that does a clean sound with low to moderate volumes and a voxy, crunchy sound at louder volumes. At max gain, it gets to a heavier distortion. Rock and Metal players may prefer to stick a stompbox in front of the amp for heavy gain sounds.

Use either 6V6s or EL84s: EL84s are the standard option on these kits. 6V6s are smoother and have less gain, less treble, and more bass when compared to the EL84s.
